Corrugated Fuel Cell Catalyst

Missouri S&T researchers have developed a novel ethanol fuel cell design. Our researchers have created a corrugated electrode assembly inside of a pocket structure offering higher electrode surface area, while the pocket structure effectively prevents leakage and minimizes the necessary components needed for construction. This technology enables embedded pocket structures to be structurally integrated with vehicles, buildings, and battle gear to help minimize the overall size and weight of the fuel cells.
