Carbon Dioxide Removal from Flue Gas

Combustion of fossil fuels including coal, petroleum and natural gas creates CO2, which is associated with climate change. Flue gas from coal fired power plants contain up to 13% CO2, and gas-fired power plants contain up to 8% CO2. However, few plans exist to effectively and economically remove CO2 from flue gas. The present technology seeks to solve this issue through an innovative pressure-based solution that is economically viable.
